Sacrificial Giving is a way to support our Parish by committing to recurring donations to the Parish Operations Fund and the Mortgage/Building Completion Fund.
The Parish Operations Fund, also known as the offertory collection, is used to support the ordinary operating expenses of the Parish.
The Mortgage/Building Completion Fund is used for the additonal expenses related to the completion of our Permanent Church and Parish Offices, as well as making payments on our mortgage.
Tithing is a way to support our Parish by committing to give 8% of income to St. Thomas More and 2% to other charities of choice. The portion given to St. Thomas More is distributed to the Parish Operations Fund, the Mortgage/Building Completion Fund, Sacrament Stipends, Faith Formation, Annual Catholic Appeal, and all National Collections: Annual Lenten Collection, Peter's Pence, Missionary Cooperative Appeal, World Missions, National Needs, and Retirement Fund for Religious.
